Chester St. friction over Glens Falls mental health group home

The CEO of Ascend Mental Wellness — formerly Warren-Washington Association for Mental Health — plans to meet on Friday, Nov. 21, with neighbors of its Genesis House residence on Chester Street in response to their complaints.

Couple plans ‘Hometown Shop,’ Patten South St. bldg.

Kara Magoolaghan and her husband Matt Rafferty plan to open a home decor store called Hometown Shop in one of the five commercial spaces in Chris Patten’s current redevelopment of 46-56 South Street, the building now painted blue across from “The Ed,” the new farmer’s market building.

Glens Falls will provide 110 parking spaces to Bonacio at 333 Glen garage; city cost $72,600/year

Chronicle Managing Editor Cathy DeDe writes: All 110 parking spaces for Bonacio Development’s Phase 1 and Phase 2 projects on South and Elm Streets will be located in the garage at 333 Glen Street, the former “Travelers Building,” City Communications Director Paul Ghenoiu tells The Chronicle.

Glens Falls agreed in its contract with Bonacio to provide the spaces at no charge to the developer.

Neighbors balk; Glens Falls Planning Board tables 196 Ridge
