Public comment gender & bathrooms at Queensbury School Board

Monday night’s Queensbury Board of Education meeting was moved to the elementary school cafeteria in anticipation of the large crowd that turned out, expecting discussion regarding the issue of tran students’ use of boys or girls’ locker and bathrooms.

Hallelujah! Sound is much better in redone City Hall Council Chamber

The January 7 Planning Board meeting was the first to utilize the newly renovated 3rd floor Courtroom/Common Council Chamber at City Hall.

“This is the first time ever there’s been good acoustics in this room in all these decades,” remarked attorney Jon Lapper, who frequently appears here in his professional capacity.

ATF season has Trevor Strader 1-man show

Adirondack Theatre Festival’s 2026 season, announced at the sold-out Mamma Mia! Monday gala Jan. 12, will include a one-man show by Queensbury grad, now New York City actor, Trevor Strader about his true experience when he was trapped in a bus baggage compartment.

Warren County pays out $3.3-million in ‘fraudulent phishing scheme’

Warren County disclosed this morning that in early December it paid $3.3-million to a bogus account “through a fraudulent phishing scheme.”

The press release said, “According to Warren County officials, two electronic payments in the amounts of $2.1 million (December 12th, 2025) and $1.2 million (December 22, 2025) were transmitted to a fraudulent bank account by the Warren County Treasurer’s Office.
