I’ve eyed Revolution Rail’s Adirondack outings since they opened in North Creek in 2017.

Hayden Knapp, the South High rising sophomore who beat out college and adult golfers last week to win the 95th New York State Women’s Amateur Golf Championship, started her journey in the game when her late grandfather Tom Knapp would bring her along for rounds at Queensbury Country Club. Smitty’s Pizza in Hudson Falls closed in 1997, but now, 27 years later, original founder John Smith, his wife Diane Smith, and Mr. Smith’s son Connor, 21, and Diane’s son Henri, 17, have resurrected the eatery on the very same street with the new name Smitty’s Firehouse Pizza.
