With Binley’s having shut down its garden center after sale of the property on the corner of Dix Avenue and Quaker Road in Queensbury, nearby Garden Time has opened an Annex there.

It will offer bedding plants, flowering annuals, vegetable starts, tropicals, geraniums, hanging baskets, shrubs and bagged mulches, soils, and fertilizers.

The Town of Fort Ann has passed a short-term rental law “to protect against adverse effects of this use while allowing it under appropriate circumstances.”

“I feel good about it. I feel good that it’s in place,” Supervisor Sam Hall said.

Dave Madden, the former owner of the Lake George A&W drive-in restaurant, has purchased, renovated and will reopen the Hudson Falls mainstay Zack’s Drive-In.

“It might be before Memorial Day, but definitely by Memorial Day,” Mr. Madden told The Chronicle.

He bought Zack’s in Spring 2022 shortly after selling the Lake George A&W, which he operated for 44 years.
