Glens Falls hires Planning Director

Glens Falls has hired city resident Allison Hargrave-Gaddy as director of its new Department of Planning and Zoning. She will also be responsible for some grant writing and administration, said info.

Salary is $93,000.

The city press release said, “With a shift of personnel and resources, the city was able to hire Hargrave-Gaddy at a net positive change to the city’s budget.”

178 Glen plans four 2-bedroom apartments, aided by Glens Falls $200,000 grant

Teena Flores and her daughter Jessica Ergmann own 178 Glen Street and plan to turn the vacant second and third floors into four two-bedroom apartments, two on each floor.

The building houses Coldwell-Banker Real Estate on its first floor. Mrs. Flores is managing partner of the agency.

Queensbury native Mike Gerarde, a golf pro, has opened Hometown Golf & Social downtown on Glen Street across from Harding & Mazzotti Arena.
