Nate Etu: ‘No more LG TV $$

Queensbury At-Large Warren County Supervisor Nate Etu took a stand at Monday’s County Occupancy Tax Committee meeting against renewing the County’s contract with Lake George TV for online promotional videos.

Alden Guay NYS XC champ

Queensbury senior Alden Guay won the NYSPHSAA state boys’ 7.5-kilometer nordic ski race at Bristol Mountain in Canandaigua Monday.

His time of 20 minutes, 49.1 seconds beat out runner-up Linden Bellizzi of Honeoye Falls-Lima by more than 15 seconds.

Local athletes have dominated the event in recent years. Queensbury’s Ben Jenkin won in 2023 and 2024. Glens Falls’ Forrest Slingerland won last year.

Unkauf: Shirt Factory vandalized by youths; he says some parents apologized

Eric Unkauf, owner of The Shirt Factory redevelopment on Lawrence and Cooper Streets, says young people vandalized bathrooms, smashed a glass entrance door and caused “more minor issues.”

The subject came up at the city’s Quality of Life Committee meeting.

Glens Falls Firefighter Richard Stafford accused of theft of Union funds

Glens Falls Fire Department Captain Richard G. Stafford, 45, was arrested by the New York State Police Special Investigations Unit on Feb. 17 and charged with two counts of Forgery in the 2nd Degree — a class D non-violent felony — and one count of Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor.
