Winter’s Dream: Coalition bullish despite soft start

Attendance is considerably short of projections at the Winter’s Dream attraction at Fort William Henry, but Warren County Winter Coalition officials tell The Chronicle they remain bullish on the attraction, its ability to bring Occupancy Tax dollars to the county, and their prospects for paying back the $3 million Occupancy Tax “seed” grant they received to launch the attraction.

Biochar issue rages anew in Town of Moreau

The Biochar fight is quickly boiling anew as the new town supervisor Jesse Fish and his council majority took office in January in Moreau.

Saratoga Biochar Solutions seeks to construct a “pyrolysis” facility in Moreau’s Industrial Park that would turn processed sewage into carbon fertilizer.

19-0 Glens Falls boys basketball crushing foes; coach says they score like 2019 NYS title team

There are many markers of a successful team, and a 19-0 record is certainly one of them.

But what further sets the Glens Falls boys basketball team apart this season is that the Black Bears have won every game by 19 points or more. Its closest contest, on Dec. 28, was an 85-66 home win over Hoosick Falls.
