Kru Coffee eyes Tech Meadows

Chronicle Staff Writer Ben Westcott reports: Kru Coffee owner Kyle Brock, a Lake George-area native, is in discussions to build a coffee processing facility at Tech Meadows, the Glens Falls industrial park west of the West Glens Falls Firehouse at Veterans Road.

Champlain Beef in Whitehall ‘destroyed’ by fire on Saturday

Chronicle Managing Editor Cathy DeDe writes: The Champlain Beef meat processing plant on Route 4 outside of Whitehall was “destroyed,” Washington County Fire Coordinator Glenn Bristol tells The Chronicle, in a June 15 fire.

It started at around 10:15 a.m. and was under control by early afternoon, Mr. Bristol said.

Nick Chiaravalle plans $10-million cannabis growing facility in Queensbury

Queensbury resident Nick Chiaravalle is proposing to construct a 30,084 square foot single-story building for cannabis growing, processing and distribution on Stone Quarry Road in Queensbury.

The 9.05 acre property is situated near the Queensbury Army National Guard recruiting office. The project goes before the town Planning Board with a public hearing on Thursday, June 20 at 7 p.m.

With museum nixed here, Shane Newell moves his Joseph Warren items to Connecticut

The Warren County Historical Society said Shane Newell plans to transfer his collection of Joseph Warren paintings and memorabilia to Hillsdale College’s Blake Center for Faith and Freedom in Somers, Connecticut.
