Islamic Center buys former Glens Falls Christian Science bldg.

The Christian Science Society building in Glens Falls was purchased on April 6 by the M. Kahn Islamic Society of Upstate New York. Purchase price was $200,000.

Major downtown accident: Car goes through Davidson’s patio into Social

On Saturday morning, May 21, a vehicle drove off Glen Street in Glens Falls, through the front portion of Davidson Brothers Brewpub outdoor seating, and into a Downtown Social window.

The accident occurred before the restaurants were open for outdoor dining.

Sgt. Gerald Willette of the Glens Falls Police Department told The Chronicle Saturday that no pedestrians were involved in the crash.

Glens Falls pursues ‘transport hub’-parking garage on current Elm St. lot

The City of Glens Falls wants to build a multi-purpose parking garage-“transportation hub” in the current Elm Street parking lot. It would use $2.5-million from its $10-million state Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant and a $12.8 million grant it has applied for from the Biden Administration’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal.
