HF’s Normandeau raising money for 2016 attempt to climb Mt. Everest

Hudson Falls native and world-class mountain climber Laurie (Combs) Normandeau is in Nepal, hiking to Mount Everest base camp to raise money for a trip next year when she hopes to reach the summit of the planet’s highest mountain.

Lisa Bohannon of Queensbury says she tapped into just that when she started taking, then teaching, belly dance classes — most recently at the Glens Falls YMCA. A core group of 25 women attends her Sunday afternoon classes.
