Chronicle Managing Editor Cathy DeDe writes: The fourth annual Drop the Gloves with ALS charity hockey tournament is Friday to Sunday, March 27-29, including a community-wide parking lot party fund-raiser Saturday noon to 4 p.m.

Everything takes place at the Glens Falls Recreation Center Ice Rink.

Bolton boys basketball wins school’s first-ever state title

Bolton boys basketball’s Class D state championship last weekend in Binghamton was the first for a team sport in school history, Head Coach Cody Kober said.

Fort Ann honors Jimmy Paige, 89, school bus driver 59 years

Friday afternoon, March 6, Fort Ann School unveiled a new sign dedicating the school’s transportation building to James “Jimmy” Paige.

Mr. Paige, who turns 90 in September, has been a Fort Ann School bus driver for 59 years. He’s still doing it full-time.
