Fort William Henry ‘Winter Dream’ transformation is under way

The “dream” began to take earthly shape Monday as installation started on Moment Factory’s debut “Lake George Winter’s Dream” interactive walk-through attraction at Fort William Henry.

More than a dozen crew members were on site Monday afternoon, beginning the transformation process under technical director Ken Mark of Schuylerville.

Themed settings were marked out on the four bastions: “Snow,” “Forest,” “Lake” and “Moon.”

What’s to become of the South Street Community Pavilion?

On Nov. 2, developer Sonny Bonacio’s Spring City Development group purchased from the City of Glens Falls the South Street parking lot where the Farmers Market takes place seasonally on Saturday mornings.

The price was $255,000.

The Farmers Market will still be able to use the site at least through next year, Mayor Bill Collins told The Chronicle.

Mighty Friday in Glens Falls

I’ve long argued that Glens Falls is “the busiest little city in America.” Last Friday made my case yet again.

Within about a mile of each other, at least four diverse events drew crowds.

• The Adirondack Stampede Rodeo at the Cool Insuring Arena attracted 3,700 fans Friday — and sold out Saturday with 4,700, arena executive director Jeff Mead told The Chronicle.

Jesse Fish ousts Todd Kusnierz as Moreau chief, GOP loses town

Here are some election results as of 11 p.m. Tuesday night.

In the Town of Moreau, Jesse Fish crushed Supervisor Todd Kusnierz, winning by approximately 2,900 to 900 votes. It’s an enormous comedown for Mr. Kusnierz, the town supervisor since 2017 who also was chairman of the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors.
