Tim Ortiz plans downtown GF wine/liquor shop where Hometown Cigar was

Tim Ortiz plans to open Glens Falls Liquor, a wine and liquor store, in half of the storefront previously occupied by Hometown Cigar Shop at 280 Glen Street, downtown Glens Falls.

St. Mary’s school joins Adirondack League, growing sports program

St. Mary’s-St. Alphonsus Regional Catholic School — which goes to 8th grade — will play in the Adirondack League of New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Section II for the 2024-25 athletic season.

Glens Falls again giving parking tickets; hospital friction

The City of Glens Falls has hired a new Traffic Control Assistant, responsible for enforcing parking restrictions, about a year after the prior officer retired.

Police Chief Jarred Smith said in a release that the City is in a “training and transition period” — “for both our new TCA and for our area drivers.
