SGF Marathon: 15 individuals students are looking to help

The 45th annual South High Marathon Dance on Friday, May 13, at the Great Escape will benefit 15 individuals or families and 13 community organizations, as selected by the students themselves.

Isabelle Perkett, LG student, 17, in kidney failure, needs transplant

West Mountain ski area has organized a fund-raiser this Sunday, April 10, for Lake George student Isabelle Perkett, 17, who needs a kidney transplant.

“We’re so grateful,” says her mom Donna Perkett that West Mountain came to her and offered the barbecue event, but “mostly I just want to get the word out to find kidney donors.”

What $8.35-million buys on Lake George

An 11,000 square-foot home on Lake Shore Drive in Bolton with 294 feet of lakefront and a new dock complex that can accommodate five or six boats sold on April 1 for $8.35-million.

The seller’s broker was Dan Davies of Davies-Davies & Associates.

Johnsburg reval is a hot topic

Hundreds of Johnsburg taxpayers are objecting to the new property valuations in the town’s first reassessment since 1953, almost 70 years.

More than 250 have made appointments for initial 10-minute informal grievance meetings, Town Assessor Letitia Williams tells The Chronicle.

Letters with preliminary assessments went out in mid-February.
