Constantino, Gendebien have millions to spend

As of Dec. 31, Democratic congressional candidate Blake Gendebien had spent $2.11 million in the campaign cycle, almost as much as the $2.55 million spent by Republican Anthony Constantino.

Both candidates had significant leads over their likely June primary opponents.

Smullen says he ‘raised’ $500,000 but he loaned nearly all of it; Gendebien slams both Republicans as ‘millionaires’

Republican Congressional hopeful Anthony Constantino says he is self-funding his campaign, and federal filings indicate he has loaned it $7.26-million as of Dec. 31.

He says self-funding frees him from serving special interests.

His Republican opponent Assemblyman Robert Smullen announced “OVER $500K RAISED in less than a week,” but his Federal Election filing as of Dec. 31 indicates he loaned his campaign $500,000 and reported just $13,122 in contributions.

Lake George Village names ‘Ben Osborn Blvd, by Jr-Sr. High School

The Village of Lake George will rename a portion of Mountain Drive “Ben Osborn Boulevard.” The renamed road passes in front of the entrance to the Lake George Jr.-Sr. High School auditorium, between between Canada and Ottawa Streets.

Glens Falls Burger King goes to 24 hours — for drive-thru, delivery

Burger King in downtown Glens Falls made the transition last week to being open 24 hours a day, Assistant Manager Rene Gavin confirmed to The Chronicle.

She said the dining room closes at midnight, but drive-thru and delivery is open around the clock.

She said that before COVID the restaurant was open 24 hours and that corporate made the decision to go back to it.
