The Lake Stewardship Group of Cleverdale wrote in its March newsletter, “We are very concerned about uninspected boats launching at the open, unstaffed DEC ramp at Million Dollar Beach in December, January, February and now March.”

“Lake George did not freeze this winter, except for some thin ice sometimes in some places,” allowing what amounts to year-round access to the Lake, they said.

GlobalFoundries sets $11.6 billion Malta expansion

Governor Kathy Hochul announced On Monday, Feb. 19, that GlobalFoundries in the Saratoga County Town of Malta will invest more than $11.6 billion over the next decade to expand its existing Fab 8 semiconductor manufacturing site.

The company plans to immediately expand its existing facility and then build a new, 358,000 square-foot semiconductor manufacturing facility on its campus.
