Wolverines are instant powerhouse

The first year of the joint Warrensburg/Lake George/North Warren Varsity football team is a roaring success.

The Wolverines are 12-0 and pursuing a state championship.

 Saturday at noon in Middletown they take on O’Neill in the state semifinal. If they win, they’ll play for the Championship in Syracuse’s Carrier Dome.

Hudson Falls’ Jonathan Beagle is league Rookie of Week for UAlbany

Former Hudson Falls basketball standout Jonathan Beagle is off to the races in his freshman season at the University of Albany.

The 6’9” forward was named the America East Rookie of the Week after averaging 8.3 rebounds over 3 games.

He’s averaging 10.4 points and 8.8 rebounds per game on the season.
