LG estate sells for a record $5.50-million

A 6,300-square-foot Tudor-style mansion on 1.26 landscaped acres of Cramer Point has sold for $5.5-million, thought to be a record amount for a Lake George residential property.

Common Roots temporary tap room, brewery approved in SGF

The owners of Common Roots Brewing Company will open a temporary brewing space and taproom at 30 Saratoga Avenue, just north of their burned-out site, after the South Glens Falls Planning Board approved the move Wednesday night.

GF adds $5 per seat to outdoor dining permit fee

Starting this summer, restaurants with outdoor seating on city property will have to pay a per seat fee of $5 plus $50 for an annual permit. It takes effect June 1.

The Common Council passed the amendment unanimously at its Feb. 12 meeting. Previously, the annual charge was $40 with no added fee for number of seats.
