DILLIGAF, the controversial Lake George clothing shop at 325 Canada Street, requested variances to allow 36-square-foot signs on the shop facing Canada and Amherst Streets.

Village code stipulates that such signs can only be 25 square feet.

The Zoning Board voted unanimously at its March 5 meeting to approve the variance for the side facing Canada Street but not the Amherst Street facing side.…

There seemed to be universal appreciation when design of the new Shepard Park Amphitheater was unveiled Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Fort William Henry Carriage House. “It’s nice to see so many people care,” Lake George Village Mayor Ray Perry told the gathering of about 100 people.

Winter’s Dream at Fort William Henry has been cancelled for this winter, with plans to return for next winter’s season, beginning in November 2025.

The Lake George Arts Project celebrates the 40th anniversary of Jazz at the Lake, its free, three-day festival, Friday to Sunday, Sept. 13-15 in Shepard Park and beyond.
