All smiles at Fort William Henry

On Thursday, June 15, Fort William Henry unveiled its strikingly transformed 19th century Carriage House overlooking Lake George in a memorable party for hundreds of invited guests.

It’s now a banquet facility able to accommodate up to 500 guests.

Fort William Henry Corporation CEO Kathy Muncil, daughter of the late Bob Flacke, who long steered the landmark business, addressed the crowd briefly.

Fort Wiliiam Henry carriage house in redo as event venue, opening in May 2023

Fort William Henry said work begins this month “to transform its historic Carriage House into a new venue for wedding receptions, business meetings and performing arts programs.”

“When it opens in May 2023, The Carriage House, with soaring ceilings, post and beam construction and a wraparound deck overlooking Lake George, will accommodate 460 people in theatre-style seating and more than 300 people for banquets,” said press info.

LG: Fort William Henry can’t find housekeepers; turns to Albany treatment center

Friday and Saturday, Fort William Henry president Sam Luciano will drive to Albany to pick up men in recovery at Father Peter Young’s addiction treatment halfway house. He’ll bring them to the Lake George resort to clean hotel rooms, and then drive them home.
