Lapper says it was ‘a stunt’ to cancel reenactment over gun issue; Stec: Legal liability real

Chronicle Staff Writer Zander Frost writes: Last week The Rogers Island Visitor Center in Fort Edward said it cancelled its 18th Century Military Encampment & Battle Reenactment due to “New York State’s new gun law that restricts the carrying of firearms in ‘sensitive places.’”

Stefanik, Stec, Castelli on guns

Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, her challenger Matt Castelli and State Senator Dan Stec all sent press releases Monday that talked about guns.

Sen. Stec gains Moreau, Corinth, Cambridge in redrawn District

The redrawn New York State Assembly and Senate district lines have been released, with significant changes locally.

Opponents have vowed to challenge them in court.

Republican State Senator Dan Stec’s 45th District becomes the 47th, stretching from the Canadian border as far south as Mechanicville. It contains all of Warren, Washington, Essex, Hamilton, Clinton and part of Saratoga and Fulton Counties.
