Barkenhagen: 42° is troubled but not closing

Robin Barkenhagen reached out to The Chronicle saying he wants to refute rumors that his downtown Glens Falls business 42 Degrees would shut down.

Bronzino jettisons marijuana plan in blacksmith shop; building for sale

Chronicle Managing Editor Cathy DeDe writes: Brian Bronzino has put 56 Glen Street back on the market, potentially abandoning his plan to locate a marijuana dispensary in the historic former blacksmith shop at the foot of Glen Street hill in Glens Falls.

It is listed for $184,900 with Brian Pepe of DeMarsh Real Estate.

GF Planning Board tables Bronzino pot dispensary in blacksmith building

Chronicle Managing Editor Cathy DeDe writes: Developer Brian Bronzino, who owns the former blacksmith shop building at the base of Glen Street hill, was on Tuesday’s Glens Falls Planning Board agenda, seeking approval to conduct retail sales of marijuana at the historic structure.

The item was tabled “at the request of the City, with concurrence of the applicant,” Planning Board chairman Dan Bruno announced.

Bronzino buying spree grows on

Brian Bronzino has bought the historic former Square Nail gift shop building at the bottom of Glen Street hill for $165,000, plus the Dix Avenue Plaza shopping center for $280,000. Both buys were March 20.

The 24-year-old Brooklyn native has now spent $2.28-million buying Glens Falls buildings in the last seven months.
