Fireworks fall-out

The sale of Alonzo Fireworks in Mechanicville to a New Jersey company is impacting local skies.

Lake George Village will proceed with its 4th of July and Thursday night summer fireworks shows, but may forego smaller shows held in conjunction with festivals and other community events. Already cancelled is the fireworks show this week with the Performance Boat Weekend on Lake George.

Battenkill Valley Creamery purchases 2nd farm

Battenkill Valley Creamery in Salem has expanded, adding 178 acres of farmland and 175 milking cows by buying nearby Skellkill Farms in the Town of Jackson.

GF pediatric practices notify GF Hospital they will stop seeing patients there after June 30

Glens Falls Pediatrics and Adirondack Pediatrics both have informed Glens Falls Hospital that they will no longer treat newborns, infants and children at the hospital after June 30, The Chronicle has learned.
