When will Lake George freeze?

Late Tom Jacobs who pioneered Cole’s Woods ski trails honored with plaque

Tom Jacobs and Cole’s Woods were celebrated Saturday on a perfect Glens Falls winter morning — gleaming blue sky, crisp temperature, fresh snow, cross-country ski trails groomed, ready and in use.

Mr. Jacobs, the Queensbury entrepreneur and Olympic skier who passed away in April at the age of 87, was lauded as the driving force who made Cole’s Woods and the ski trails happen.
