Arrest made in QBY Walmart shooting; Occurred after alleged road rage incident

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office announced it has arrested Adrian A. Simental, 33, of 1618 Route 9, Moreau, in connection with the November 27 shooting that occurred in the parking lot of Walmart on Route 9 in Queensbury.

Mr. Simental was arrested the evening of November 29th at his residence and has been charged with felony counts of alleged attempted first-degree assault and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon

7 arrested in alleged SGF narcotics bust

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office announced the “narcotics arrests” of seven people after searching a South Glens Falls residence.

They said they arrested Caitlin Pruess, 30, on November 23 after a lengthy drug trafficking investigation. She is accused of selling crack/cocaine heroin, fentanyl, and crystal methamphetatime throughout Saratoga County.

Man shot in Rt. 9 Queensbury Walmart parking lot; Sheriffs looking for suspect

Warren County Sheriff’s office reported that on Sunday, November 27 at 3:45 p.m., they were called to the Queensbury Wal-Mart at 891 State Route 9 to investigate a male with a gunshot wound to the hip.
 
The victim was transported by EMS and is undergoing medical treatment, the Sheriff’s office said.
 
Law enforcement are still working to identify the suspect.

John Taflan hired as new Warren County Administrator

Last Friday afternoon, the Warren County Board hired a new County Administrator, John Taflan, at a salary of $120,000. 

He succeeds Ryan Moore, who left to become CEO of Behan Communications. 

Kevin Geraghty, the Warrensburg Supervisor who chairs the county board, told The Chronicle on Monday that three applicants were considered.

NY orders end of Native American mascots by finish of 2023; GF reacts

Yesterday, the New York State Education Department ordered “all school districts in the state to remove the ‘Indian’ mascot and associated icons (the arrowhead included) from the public school system,” Glens Falls City School District said in a release.

The Corinth Tomahawks and Lake George Warriors could also be effected by the order.
