LG boat inspections are going smoothly, even on 4th of July

Chronicle staff writer David Cederstrom writes:     

As of July 14, 7,871 boats coming to Lake George had been inspected for invasive species under the Lake George Park Commission’s new boat inspection regulations, said Park Commission executive director Dave Wick in reply to a  Chronicle inquiry.

“We de-conned about 400 boats, so we’re running about a 6 to 7 percent decontamination rate, which is pretty close to what we expected,” he …
