The duo remaking Autoworld

At age 105, she earns honorary South Glens Falls diploma

Ruth Scinto, who turns 106 years old on Aug. 1, achieved a longtime dream on July 9 when she received an honorary South Glens Falls High School diploma.

Mrs. Scinto left her school in Connecticut in 10th grade after World War I.

“We were dirt poor. I remember picking up coal on the train tracks,” she said.

2 youths hurt in accidental shooting; 56 Walnut St. GF, long cited by neighbors

Two juveniles were injured Saturday from “the accidental discharge of a firearm” at a residence on Walnut Street, “between Lawrence Street and Dix Avenue,” the Glens Falls Police Department said.

Both were transported by the Glens Falls Fire Department to Glens Falls Hospital, and later to Albany Medical Center for further treatment, said the report.
