Ryan Connor of EBRM Properties, LLC, proposes “to build out 18 residential apartment units on the second and third floors” of the 48,000 square foot Union Square former shirt factory at 2-15 Broad Street.

It’s described as a $1.08-million project installing 16 one-bedroom, two two-bedroom — on the second and third floors of the wing facing Pine Street.

Council balks at Patten project

Glens Falls again giving parking tickets; hospital friction

The City of Glens Falls has hired a new Traffic Control Assistant, responsible for enforcing parking restrictions, about a year after the prior officer retired.

Police Chief Jarred Smith said in a release that the City is in a “training and transition period” — “for both our new TCA and for our area drivers.

TD Bank will close its only Glens Falls branch Sept. 20

TD Bank — the Canadian-owned successor to what started as First National Bank of Glens Falls on Aug. 1, 1853 — will close its Maple Street downtown drive-through branch as of Sept. 20.

No comment was available from TD Bank, but a notice was posted in the window of the branch as required by law.
