2 Glens Falls assaults lead to arrests; YMCA, Morgan Ave.

The Glens Falls Police Department announced in a press release that it made a pair of arrests in connection to two separate alleged assaults this weekend. Both incidents, one at the Glens Falls YMCA and the other at 26 Morgan Avenue, left the victim seriously injured.

Post-Star publishing disrupted due to ‘cybersecurity event’

The Post-Star was unable to publish last week’s Tuesday and Thursday paper editions on time due to a ‘Cybersecurity’ event, its parent company Lee Enterprises says.

It also curtailed its digital editions.

GF says ‘workable’ agreement proposed for Lt. Holl retirement

The city of Glens Falls said it is nearing an agreement with the Firefighter’s Union that would help Firefighter Doug Holl “reach retirement.”

Lt. Holl has early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Colleagues and family were hoping firefighters’ donated hours would get him to full retirement benefits. Union president PJ Callahan had told The Chronicle Mr. Holl stopped working when diagnosed about a year ago.

The Town of Queensbury issued a building permit in January for $295,000 of interior alterations for a “Wing Stop” at 894 State Route 9.

It’s the plaza located directly across from Walmart that also houses a Spectrum store, among other businesses.
