Chestertown native Terence Steinberg — an elementary classmate of mine many years ago at St. Mary’s-St. Alphonsus school in Glens Falls — has run 43 marathons, several Ironman races and a 145-mile ultra marathon that took 35 hours to finish — no sleep, all running.

Baptists eye sale to opioid treatment company

An Albany drug treatment not-for-profit wants to buy the First Baptist Church of Glens Falls at 100 Maple Street and open an in-patient opioid treatment center there, The Chronicle has learned.

The financially hard-pressed church congregation has voted to pursue the sale.
