Moreau opts out: No, on marijuana sales, at least to begin with

Chronicle managing editor Cathy DeDe writes: The Moreau Town Board voted unanimously (4-0, with Councilman John Donohue absent) to opt “out” of allowing sale of marijuana under New York State’s legalization law, Town Supervisor Todd Kusnierz told The Chronicle.

Habitat ReStore store in Moreau is a big hit

ReStore — the Habitat for Humanity home store on U.S. Route 9 north of Northway Exit 17 in Moreau — opened on Oct. 2 and hit the ground running.

“We’re only open three days a week,” store manager Charles Burd tells The Chronicle. “From the first of October, we’ve done around 4,500 transactions.”

27 acres at SGF Exit 17 sells for $1.6-million

Munter Enterprises, a construction company in Middle Grove in Saratoga County, bought 26.7 acres next to northbound Exit 17 in Moreau for $1.6-million on Dec. 12.
