333 Glen St. offers wedge at Bay & Glen for lease: $1.4-million

The owners of 333 Glen Street — most recently known as the Travelers Building ­ — have put up for commercial lease the half-acre open space where Bay and Glen Streets meet facing the Civil War monument. They’re asking $1,400,000.

Flooding at The Mill forces some from apartment

The Chronicle’s Ben Westcott reports: A sprinkler malfunction on March 16 on the fifth floor of The Mill in downtown Glens Falls caused water damage requiring some residents to find alternative housing as repairs continue to be made.

The Chronicle had heard about the incident from several people and asked building manager Cass Hill Development of Latham about it.

Temple Beth El in GF mulls sale of its 100-year old building

The 100-year-old congregation at Temple Beth El is considering selling its building on Marion Avenue, Glens Falls.

Temple president Sara Friedman told The Chronicle “in no way” have they decided at this point to sell the building. They are “undertaking a strategic exploration of options.”

Ms. Friedman said the Reform Jewish Congregation numbers about 75 families.

Planning Board unanimously OK’s Patten’s Washington Square

The Glens Falls Planning Board on Monday unanimously approved Chris Patten’s plan to raze a pair of two-story houses on Glen Street and a one-story office building on Harlem Street to create Washington Square encompassing two new three-story apartment buildings and a fitness center.
