Saratoga Biochar prevails over Article 78 petition

New York State Supreme Court Judge Richard A. Kupferman in Ballston Spa ruled Tuesday for Saratoga Biochar in the Article 78 Petition filed by the Clear Air Action Network of Glens Falls.

The suit challenged the Moreau Planning Board’s approval of the proposed plant in the town industrial park to convert solid waste into fertilizer.

NY DMV unveils new North Country regional license plate

The New York State Department of Vehicles today unveiled the “newly-redesigned North Country regional license plate, part of a series of new license plates featuring the state’s 10 regions. The plate features an image of a sailboat along the St. Lawrence River in front of the

Thousand Islands Bridge.”

Fire at former China Buffet, McDonalds on Main St SGF

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said it responded to “a fully involved structure fire at 22 Main Street in South Glens Falls this morning at 4:34 AM. The building was a former McDonald’s restaurant at one time and a Chinese restaurant at another.”

Sold! Lake George A&W for $605K

The Lake George A&W has sold for $605k, realtor Mitchell Muroff told The Chronicle. Hao Yang has purchased the 2208 Route 9 business from Wayne Pelak/CKHSW Corp.

Mr. Muroff said Mr. Yang is a restaurant owner in the Albany area who intends to keep operating as an A&W.
Mr. Yang has completed the brand’s franchise course “and is putting renovations into it now,” Mr. Muroff added.
