Adirondack Studios at 50 years; employs 150 in Argyle, 300 world-wide

Queensbury to fix perilous Round Pond Road-Rt. 9 intersection

Queensbury plans to fix the troublesome intersection where Round Pond Road meets Route 9 in Queensbury across from Martha’s Dandee Cream, just south of The Great Escape.

It will add traffic management, “smart” stoplights, pedestrian crosswalks, new curb cuts and upgraded sidewalks.

It will take about three years to plan, fund and build, and cost $1.88-million, Town Supervisor John Strough told The Chronicle.

No more Winter’s Dream

Winter’s Dream is done. The Warren County Coalition plans to end its affiliation with Moment Factory, the Montreal-company they hired to create the attraction at Fort William Henry.

Jimmer retires as player, then becomes director of USA 3×3

Jimmer Fredette retired as a player last Wednesday, but he’s not leaving basketball anytime soon.
