Fitzy the barber of Fort Edward

“Fitzy” Fitzsimmons grew up on Third Street in Glens Falls, graduated from St. Mary’s Academy and fondly recalls the heyday when downtown sidewalks on Thursday nights filled with “people going out to meet people.”

Chris Patten persists

Despite opposition including from Mayor Dan Hall, Chris Patten is holding firm to his plan to buy and develop the wedge of current green space he is under contract to buy from 333 Glen at the intersection of Glen and Bay Streets.
