Carrie Woerner named chair of Assembly Small Biz Committee

State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, D-Bronx, has appointed Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner, D-Round Lake, to chair the Small Business Committee. She previously was a member of the committee.

The announcement was made Jan. 8

“Small businesses provide about 90% of the employment across the state,” Assemblywoman Woerner told The Chronicle. “So, I have a platform to bring attention to the challenges.”

Carrie Woerner: Horse racing is key to economy & public loves it; ‘small minority’ seeks to ban it

Carrie Woerner, Dave Catalfamo, vie again for NYS Assembly 113th

Democrat Carrie Woerner, seeking her fifth two-year term in the State Assembly, is again being challenged by Republican Dave Catalfamo.

The boundaries of the 113th district have changed. It now includes the City of Glens Falls; rural Washington County towns like Argyle and Salem were moved into the 114th District for which incumbent Matt Simpson is running unoppposed.
