GF High School panel mulls pros & cons of ending GPA class ranking

A “Class Rank Committee” made up of Glens Falls High School teachers, administrators and parents has met twice and will meet again on Monday, April 29, at 3:15 p.m. in the high school library to “explore the current practices at GFHS regarding Class rank,” according to meeting materials obtained by The Chronicle.

GF School seeks voter OK to buy land near bus garage property

The Glens Falls City School District will ask residents to approve spending $240,000 to buy a 1.3-acre property just north of the district’s bus garage on Glenwood Avenue in Queensbury.

Superintendent Paul Jenkins terms it “a wise investment for the taxpayers.”

The vote is set for Tuesday, Jan. 23, from noon to 9 p.m., at Sanford Street School.

Abe Wing & GF school: 3-year tuition deal with rising rate

A new contract between the Glens Falls and Abraham Wing school districts will raise tuition for Abe Wing students to more than $10,000 in 2019-20.
